Elmwood Park is a unique and beautiful part of Downtown Columbia. Known for its diverse architectural styles, this district shows the movement from the architectural styles of the Victorian Era. These largely turn of the century houses range from the original Shotgun style, Queen Anne Victorian, all the way to Craftsman style. 

Originally zoned as the SC State Fair Grounds, a large portion of Elmwood Park is known for being Columbia's first suburb annex. Spanning from Main Street all the way to Confederate Avenue, you can see influences from the turn of the century all over Downtown Columbia.Residents of the Elmwood Park Historic District enjoy showcasing a part of Columbia's history.
